Payments for retail
From a single store to a network across countries, retail chains run their payments on the Switchio platform, with one integration for every store and every acquirer.

Why Switchio
A fleet, not a pile of terminals.
The difference between a chain and a shop is not the number of devices. It is that every change has to happen everywhere at once.
- Your brand on the terminalThe payment application is white label, so the screen at the counter belongs to the retailer and not to the acquirer.
- One terminal, all cardsBeyond regular payments, the terminal application accepts regional employee meal vouchers, 15+ fleet cards and value added services.
- Account to account paymentsWe are rolling out A2A payments for retail chains, so shoppers can pay straight from their bank account.
- One fleet across countriesNetwork size, country setup, organisational structure and the number of terminals are not limits, so the same platform covers a city chain and a group in twelve markets.
- More than the card schemesLocal methods like BankAxept and Dankort run next to Visa and Mastercard, together with loyalty and private label cards, and QR payments.
- The acquirer stays a choiceRouting rules sit on the switch, so a new acquirer in a new market is configuration and the terminals in the shops do not change.

Devices your stores will use.
The same payment application on every one of them, so a new model in one country does not change how the chain works. MOL Group and Scenic cruises run on the same platform.

Card payments without signal on Czech trains
České dráhy is deploying offline payment functionality across all portable ticketing terminals used by train managers and conductors. When a train passes through an area without mobile signal, the card payment completes on the device and synchronizes as soon as connectivity returns.

Payments for a mobile first generation
YabandPay, a licensed Payment Institution based in the Netherlands, has partnered with Switchio, a next-generation payment gateway platform, to deliver smarter, more seamless payment solutions across Europe.

The MOL Group has switched to Switchio
In previous years, the highly popular and commercially successful MOL Group was facing the challenge of harmonizing card payments across their vast network. Bank cards were being processed on one terminal and fleet cards on another, creating unwanted inefficiencies.
FAQ
Retail payments, answered.
What payment teams ask us first.
We already have terminals. Do we have to replace them?
Not necessarily. The certified payment applications run on Linux and Android devices from several manufacturers, so the question is whether your current models are on the supported list rather than whether the fleet has to be swapped.
Can we keep different acquirers in different countries?
Yes. That is what the switch is for. Routing rules decide which acquirer takes which transaction, and the rules are configuration, not a release.
Do the terminals accept meal vouchers and fleet cards?
Yes. Regional employee meal vouchers, 15+ fleet cards and value added services run in the same terminal application as bank cards, so the store needs no extra device.
How do local payment methods get added?
Methods such as BankAxept or Dankort and loyalty, fleet or private label cards are added on the platform and pushed to the terminals from the management system, so stores do not need a visit.
