Payment Application

Payment application for Linux and Android

Two certified applications, one for Ingenico Linux terminals and one for Android devices, run on the Switchio platform and share one modular core. The user flow stays consistent across your terminal types, and new hardware does not mean a new integration.

Shared features

What both applications share.

Whatever the hardware, the merchant follows one flow and your team works with one platform.

  • A consistent user flowBoth applications share one modular core, so the cashier follows the same flow on every terminal type and training does not restart with new hardware.
  • Remote management on AndroidOn Android devices, firmware, applications, parameters and security keys are managed centrally through the Terminal Management System.
  • Multilingual and multicurrencyLanguages and currencies are configuration, which is what makes a rollout across markets possible.
  • White-label brandingYour logo and your colours on the terminal screen, in the same way as on SoftPOS.
  • Connected to the switchThe application integrates with the Authorisation Core, so routing, failover and reporting are shared with the rest of the fleet.
  • Migration without a rewriteThe multi-layer architecture is what makes moving to new hardware a project of weeks rather than a new integration.

FAQ

The application, answered.

What integration teams ask us first.

How does it connect to a cash register?

On Linux over B-protocol, IFSF or a custom integration. On Android either app to app on the same device, or over the GSA protocol from an external register, locally or through cloud APIs.

How are updates rolled out?

Centrally from the Terminal Management System. Firmware, applications, parameters and keys are pushed to the fleet and the terminal picks them up on its next call.

Can the application carry our brand?

Yes. Branding is part of the configuration, so the terminal screen shows your logo and colours, and the same applies to the SoftPOS application.
