Integrate once, then roll out.

How cash registers, apps and back offices connect to the Switchio platform, and how an integration moves from the first test to the whole fleet.

From test to live

Three environments, one path.

Every integration takes the same route, so nothing reaches a merchant untested.

  1. Integration

You build and test against the integration environment, with new features developed and tested there first.

  2. Acceptance

The integration is certified and its functions validated before anything reaches a merchant.

  3. Production

Go live with phased rollouts, so the first terminals prove the setup before the rest follow.

Integration points

Where your systems plug in.

The same platform on every device, with the interfaces your cash registers, portals and finance systems already use.

Cash registers on Linux

Ingenico Lane, Desk, Move, Self and Open.

  • Standalone or integrated with the cash register
  • ECR protocols B-protocol and IFSF
  • A custom integration where neither fits

Cash registers on Android

PAX, NEXGO, Ingenico Axium and FEITIAN.

  • Standalone mode
  • Internal ECR, app to app on the terminal
  • External ECR over the GSA protocol, on LAN or WiFi
  • Cloud APIs for server to server communication

Terminal fleet

For your own portals and support tools.

  • TMS API with terminal status and configuration
  • Data pump for secure data delivery
  • TMS Lite Portal for batch onboarding
  • Switchio Store for apps on Android terminals

Reporting and EV charging

Finance feeds and charging networks.

  • Automated invoicing reports for settlement
  • On demand reports delivered over SFTP
  • REST API in the cloud for charge point backends
  • Charging network management over OCPP

Hosting

Shared or dedicated.

  • Multi tenantA shared setup with high availability and updates managed by Switchio. The cost effective way to start.
  • Single tenantA fully dedicated environment with the most control over security and custom deployments, for strict compliance requirements.

FAQ

Integration, answered.

What integration teams ask before the first test.

Which cash register protocols does the payment application support?

On Linux terminals the application works standalone or integrated with the cash register over B-protocol, IFSF or a custom integration. On Android it runs standalone, app to app on the terminal, or with an external ECR over the GSA protocol.

Can our back office talk to the platform directly?

Yes. Android terminals support cloud based APIs for server to server communication, the TMS API exposes terminal status and configuration, and reports can be delivered over SFTP.

How does a charge point connect?

The payment terminal needs power and, optionally, an internet connection from the charger. The charge point backend talks to the platform through a REST API in the cloud, so the charger hardware stays as it is.

How long does it take to go live?

That depends on the devices and acquirers in scope. Every integration goes through the same three environments, and production starts with a phased rollout rather than the whole fleet at once.
